It has to be constantly adjusted to keep from spinning left or right. It will begin to spin as soon as you give the rotors any juice. From there you have to maintain adjustments through the entire flight and thats only if you can keep it from crashing. Which leads me into the next comment. After crashing, the little wheels came off. I was able to snap them back on but as small as they are it would and will be easy to lose those small landing gear. The only reason I gave it a 5 star rating in education is because you have to be a genius to figure out how to fly this thing without constantly losing control. This is a fun toy, and so far seems quite durable. BTW: I'm sure some of the terminology I'll use in my review is wrong for helicopters, I apologize in advance. The first thing I noticed is how small the helicopter is. However, after flying it, I have come to find that an asset. It means I have more room to move around and if I hit something (or someone) there is not as much force involved. The next thing I noticed is when power is off, the blades are not fixed, they flop around.

I was worried that it was broken or defective (and there are dire warnings printed on the blades talking about never using it broken), but it turns out floppy blades are perfectly fine. Just like spinning a yo-yo or sling, the blades automatically stick out straight when power is applied. I'm sure this floppiness helps the props from breaking during impacts. Another initial worry was that the tail prop was broken, since it wasn't spinning. However, rather than the main rotor tilting like in a real helicopter, that tail prop is used to tilt the helicopter for forward or backward movement.The remote is large and fits comfortably in the hands. The left hand controls how fast the blades spin (and thus, altitude). The right hand controls forward and backward movement (via the rear prop), and spin (I'm assuming by changing the speed of the two drive props relative to each other). There is a trim knob in the middle for negating a spin. When I first started flying, I was just hovering and so I was obsessed with finding the best trim setting. After some playing around, I found out that it really only needs to be close enough, and then the right hand can handle the rest. When moving forward, spin seems to change slightly anyways, so in order to move forward I had to learn to control the spin manually with my right hand. As a result of learning to fly forward, I can hover better too. Note that you don't move left or right. Instead, you spin and move forward or backward. When the remote is first turned on, the LED lights up, but it's a pale tan color. When plugged into the helicopter (make sure the helicopter is off), the LED gets a brighter orange. It takes about 30 minutes to charge the batteries (using 6 standard Duracell AAs). Then, the LED on the remote turns completely off. When the helicopter turns on, it continually flashes blue and red lights, which is normal. The instructions claimed 5 minutes of flight time.

As long as the controller is still connected to the drone (synced) then you can adjust the trim settings. This is really handy to know if the drone needs a lot of trimming.
