Therefore you should insure no sand or scale particles are present in the water supply. This 15’ length helps isolate the water supply from pulsations from the pump. Many states require a Vacuum Break or back flow prevention be installed at the hydrant, before the garden hose, to insure the water source cannot be contaminated. Be sure to check local and state regulations upon installation. Look for water leaks and stop any leak found. Leaks can cause erratic pump behavior. This circuit should be installed by a licensed electrician and checked to supply adequate voltage Under Load. Sometimes the distance from the panel is to long, the wire size is to small or the voltage is initially to low, this will cause the GFCI or Thermal to trip. If the GFCI trips or the thermal overload on the motor trips consult factory. Plug your cord into the receptacle.Pull trigger gun and check for adequate pressure. During operation do not leave the machine running for more than 2 minutes without the trigger gun being pulled. Although your machine has a by-pass valve on it and may have a thermal relief system, this can cause extensive pump damage. If machine will not be discharging water for more than 2 minutes, shut the machine off. Your machine is supplied with interchangeable spray tips. The black tip lowers your pressure and draws chemical. The other tips are for high pressure rinse at different spray angles. Red is 0 degree, yellow is 15 degree, green is 25 degree and white is 40 degree. The yellow tip is used for most standard applications. Be sure the quick coupler is fully engaged before pulling the trigger gun. Failure to do may result in the tip becoming a projectile and may be lost or damage to property or persons may occur. See the table to choose the right nozzle for your machine. Be sure to use the black, low pressure nozzle to inject chemical. The chemical injector will only open up and allow chemical into the line when this tip is used.

Failure to check all levels will result in pressure washer damage. Most pumps are shipped with oil from factory and the crankcases are sealed; you may have to remove a shipping plug and install a dipstick in the pump. Oil type is stated on the pump breakdown and in the engine book. You can check your GPM by using a 5 Gallon bucket and a timer. If your machine is 5 GPM or less and the bucket fills in less than a minute you have adequate supply. Some systems are effected by things like washing machines, livestock watering systems and flushing of toilets. Be sure the supply is still adequate when these operations are taking place. The water temperature cannot exceed 145 Degrees Fahrenheit on the standard models and 180 degrees Fahrenheit on the high temperature models and the pressure should not exceed 60 PSI. Failure to secure adequate water supply to your commercial pressure washer will result in pump damage.Although there are small filters installed on power washers that filter the water, they could only filter poor quality water for a short period of time before they clog. This would result in damage to the machine.

The solution output for the 1200 psi pump is a quick disconnect located just below the fill hole on the holding tank, on the front face of the machine (the 500 psi outlet is a quick disconnect on the end of a short length of hose, on the front of the base section of the machine). NOTE: this switch is off when it is set to the middle position and neither the 1200 PSI pump nor the heater is selected. This tip enables the pressure to drop to approximately 250 PSI to draw chemical. The injector can be shut on and off or the rate of injection can also be set by turning the knob that the clear vinyl tube attaches to. See calibration below. Be sure to flush injection system with clear water after use. The nozzle must be pulled back toward the gun for high pressure rinse. When the nozzle is moved forward you will have low pressure and the soap injector will start to draw chemical. This will lower your pressure and allow the injector to start to draw chemical. Chemical will only be drawn in the low pressure setting. Pull nozzle back for high pressure rinse. Additional hose added to the machine may change the performance of the machine. Consult factory if you have any questions. When replacing or disconnecting the quick couplers be sure the machine is shut off and relieve the pressure from all hoses. A 50% anti-freeze solution may be drawn in through the inlet of the pump using a short remnant of garden hose. This fluid should be run through the pump when the fluid is discharged from the pump discharge your machine is winterized. Do not allow machine to freeze. Repair or replace as needed. Always wear safety. Never direct the spray towards people or pets. A loose nozzle could fly off during use. Replace hose before Do not use outdoors. Always wear safety glasses. When using any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: NOTE: Read all instructions before using this machine. The vacuum motor, pump motors, and the pumps do not require any scheduled maintenance; however, the. Make sure the hoses are in good condition and the spray nozzle(s) is tight. 2.

This generally will only be an issues with pressure washer that suck water and so can create a vacuum on the suction side. Check the hoses and fittings for sides of damage. Replace them if they are damaged or if you suspect a leak. It is however not likely to cause vibration or sporadic water flow. However premature wear can be caused by not changing the oil, using the wrong oil or lubricant, water getting into the pump housing or running the power washer with no water running through it. If it is down to a worn pump then it is a full service by a qualified technician (if that is you then you can stop reading this post) or a pump replacement. Replacing the pump is about as simple as it gets. Usually just four bolts and some thread locker. The most likely culprit for this is the pump having been run without oil or not having changed the oil as recommended. In our experience these are the only reason that we have found to cause a pump to seize. Of course a failed bearing or part may cause it but we have not seen this. With the engine throttle set to a high position and the hoses off the power washer follow the throttle lever linkage to the carburettor and you will also see the linkage that goes back to the governor in the engine. This adds additional control to the engine to the keep the revs steady that you have set with the throttle lever regardless (within limits) of the loads that you put on the engine. The governor is usually pretty much instantly responsive to changes in loads being applied. If you pull on this lever where it enters the engine and the revs increase and water pressure increases then there is a problem with the governor. However if the engine revs up with no increase in water flow and pressure then it is back to the pump. There should be a 5 digit number on the unit somewhere. Work your way through the troubleshooting list below that starts with the most common and easiest to fix and ends with the least common and hardest to fix. Your pressure washer should have either a filter at the pickup end of the water tube or an inline filter (Fig. 2) Inline filters can be either along the length of the hose or where it enters the pressure washer. Right?) Provided you do not have quick fit hose fitting on the pump that seals when the hose is disconnected the water should be coming out unencumbered by the hose or lance. If you have full pressure then there is a blockage is further up in the hose, lance or nozzle. If you don’t have full pressure and it is low or variable then the problem is in the pump. As long as you are not hearing the pump or engine making unusual or unfamiliar noises and there is no evidence of overheating (put your hand on the pump and crankcase. Make up your own disclaimer here and insert it here) then let it run with no hoses attached for an extended period. If it doesn’t or it didn’t improve it then turn off the pressure washer. It either needs to be opened up to be cleaned or it is one of the next possibilities below. The issue will be between the water pickup (barrel or tap) and the pressure washer pump.

From the XA series of 1972 onward, each Falcon and range of derivates have been designed, developed, and built in Australia, following the phasing out of the American-influenced Falcon of 1960 to 1971, which had been re-engineered locally as the XK to XY series for the harsher Australian conditions. The luxury-oriented Ford Fairmont model joined the range from 1965. Luxury long- wheelbase derivative versions called the Ford Fairlane and LTD arrived in 1967 and 1973, respectively (with production ending in 2007).Luxury variants of the current model Falcon, collectively known as the G Series, were marketed as the Ford G6, G6E, and G6E Turbo, which replaced the long-standing Fairmont and Fairmont Ghia models. The Falcon platform had also spawned luxury models such as the Landau coupe and long-wheelbase Fairlane and LTD sedans. Under this plan, Falcon's indirect replacements are the fourth-generation Mondeo from Europe and the sixth-generation Mustang from North America, the latter to retain Ford's Australian V8 heritage.Ford assembled the British Zephyr and its Consul and Zodiac derivatives. However, while these cars were moderately successful and had a good reputation, Ford could not match Holden's price, so sales suffered. One of the reasons for the price difference was the higher cost of imported parts, which were subject to an import tariff.Initially, they intended to produce the Zephyr, Consul, and Zodiac, using expensive dies they would need to purchase from Ford of Britain. However, during a visit to Ford headquarters in Detroit in 1958, they were shown the new Falcon, which was being prepared for its United States launch. Immediately, the executives were attracted to the new car- it was about the same size as Holden, but it was low, long, wide and modern.

The width allowed it to accommodate six people, and a two-speed automatic transmission was available. Besides all this, Ford Australia felt they had more experience building North American cars. Hence, they decided to make Falcon their new Australian car. In 1959, Ford built a factory at Campbellfield, a suburb of Melbourne, for local production of the North American Ford Falcon. The factory was designed in Canada, and had a roof that would facilitate dispersal of snow, notwithstanding the fact that snow does not usually fall in Melbourne. It was initially offered only as a four-door sedan, in both Falcon and Falcon Deluxe trim levels. The XK was essentially a right-hand drive version of the North American model, although local country dealers often included modifications such as heavy-duty rear suspension (five leaves) and larger, 6.5 by 13-inch (17 by 33 centimetre), tyres.Sales were aided by the contemporary FB-series Holden being perceived as lacklustre and dated by comparison. A 170 in 3 engine was introduced late in the model's life. Also, the appearance was changed with a new Thunderbird roofline. Nevertheless, the Falcon was still widely perceived as unsuitable for local conditions and sales stagnated. The suspension was also improved with the upper control arms lowered to reduce the notorious bump steer found in the North American Falcon (and early Mustangs ), on which this model was based. The gamble paid off with the Falcon winning the Wheels Car of the Year Award. The Fairmont made its debut, midway through the model run, as the flagship of the XP Falcon range. It was offered in both sedan and station wagon body styles, replacing the Futura sedan and Squire wagon. The Fairmont and GT models were not locally assembled, but were imported from Australia in limited numbers. The GT marked the beginning of the Australian muscle car. The non-gold GTs, while having the same specifications, are the rarest of the early Australian muscle cars.

The GT also replaced the thick lower body stripes of the XR with narrow stripes along the waistline from grille to tail light. The tail lights were still round, but instead of the small round indicator of the XR, the XT model had a long indicator across the light. Otherwise, all external body panels and bumpers were the same as the XR.A new dashboard and trim variations also appeared. Factory-fitted fully integrated air conditioning was made available as an option for the first time. The styling of the GT went wilder with the addition of an offset racing-style bonnet scoop, bonnet locks, and blackouts, as well as 'Super Roo' stripes along the full length of the car (these and the bonnet blackouts were a 'delete option'). GT wheels were now 12-slot steel with flat centre caps over the lug nuts and stainless steel dress rims. The twin 'driving lights' introduced on the XT GT were carried over to the XW GT.The GT-HO was a homologation specially built for racing. Externally, it was almost indistinguishable from a standard GT, but offered a higher-performance engine and improved suspension— although the 'HO' stood for 'Handling Option', the cars also gained larger Holley carburettors and other performance additions. The Phase I or 'Windsor HO' was fitted with the 351 in 3 Windsor V8, but was replaced a year later with the 351 Cleveland, producing 300 horsepower (220 kW) in the Phase II GT-HO. Phase II GT-HO wheels featured a new five-slot design. It offered the same dash as the GT with sports instruments, sport wheel trims, and stripes. The GS lasted until the 1978 XC series I model, longer than the GT, which finished with the XB.The six-cylinder motors were bigger—200 cu in (3.3 L) and 250 cu in (4.1 L). A two-barrel (2V) carbureted ) version of the 351 Cleveland V8 was an option on all sedans. The thick side stripes remained, although altered slightly, as did the twin driving lights and blacked-out panel between the tail lights.

Wheels were now the five-slot steel items first seen on the XW Phase II GT-HO. The Phase III GT-HO also sported a plastic front spoiler and a wild bootlid spoiler styled after those fitted to the Mach series Mustangs. The 750 cfm Holley carburettor of the XW GT-HO Phase II was replaced by a 780 cfm Holley, along with numerous other performance modifications. In 1972, Ford made the 15 in Globe 'Bathurst' alloy wheels available as an upgrade to the GTHO Phase III.Cleveland V8s were imported initially, until the Geelong Foundry began to produce these motors for automatic Falcons in mid-1972. The transmissions included both Ford and Borg-Warner, as did rear axles. The XY is now widely regarded as the best Falcon made in Australia, not just with its Bathurst dominance, but also in its performance, build quality, and refinement, which was superior to competitors at the time. Current values for XYs compared to other Aussie Falcons, and their competitors, attest to this. The XA Falcon, introducing a new hardtop coupe model, entered the scene with its distinctive range of paint colours, with purple and wild plum being popular, often ordered with white or black upholstery. The drivetrains carried over from the XY, although the 250-2V was soon dropped, and the 'full-house' GT-HO engines no longer required due to changes in production racing regulations. Ford had planned a 'Phase IV' GT-HO (and built four), but cancelled it in the wake of the so-called ' Supercar scare '.The front guards received fake 'vents' just behind the indicators, and NACA ducts were added to the bonnet. Steel 12-slot wheels were reintroduced, although some GTs received the five-spoke Globe 'Bathurst' wheels, which had been ordered for the GT-HO Phase IV and now needed to be used. The GT's rear suspension featured radius rods to help locate the elliptical-spring solid rear axle. Other performance parts from the aborted Phase IV found their way onto GTs, including larger fuel tanks and winged sumps.

Engine options carried over from the XA-series.In Mad Max, the police use yellow XA and XB sedans, and Max later drives a customised black XB hardtop known as the Pursuit Special, or black-on-black due to its matte black over gloss black paint scheme. This led to locally produced Cleveland V8s and the introduction of the cross-flow (also called the X-flow) six-cylinder. Versions of this engine were produced in North America and, in various guises, used in Australian Falcons through to the XF. Its long stroke and large capacity made for very good 'towing' torque, while its thick castings and relatively loose tolerances gave it a reputation for reliability in spite of abuse. It included options from the Falcon GS Hardtop, such as comprehensive instrumentation, bonnet scoops, slotted sports road wheels, and driving lights, but with bodyside protection mouldings and van side glass deleted. These vehicles carried chassis numbers commencing with JG65TE (verified by Ford). They were all modified and fitted with the body and mechanical specifications approved in the September 1977 and October 1977 evolution race homologations; these changes were mostly designed to enhance race durability. Due to the small production numbers of these homologated GS Falcon Hardtops and the timing of manufacture, the batch of 13 cars is believed to have been built as a one-off special order specifically for Ford and privateer race teams which planned to race them in the 1978 Australian Touring Car Championship season. They were also needed to satisfy the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport regulators for minimum production numbers to allow the modifications to be legal for racing.

The HH-ROADTRIP even adds the NOAA weather channel support, making it a weather radio as well. This model also offers dual channel watch, full channel scan, instant access to channels 9 and 19, Cobra's SoundTracker system, and a full featured LCD display. It is equipped with a DC vehicle power cord, but can also operate on 9 AA batteries or a Cobra rechargeable battery pack. The range is all about the length of the antennae. I got about a 1 mile range with the magnetic hood top antenna. Therefore it is great in a convoy of Jeeps in the woods under 1 mile. But extremely convenient, can take off the short antenna, put both in the glovebox. Don't have to figure out where to mount a box or route any wiring. When traffic is backed up it's great to listen to the truckers as they discuss the details of what's going on. Local weather is a great plus as you tranve cross-country. I also have a couple of other brands but they are much heaver and do the same job. I use them in my work and have bought others for gifts. Enjoy them, I do.easy to operate, light weight, good range. If a vehicle got between you and the vehicle ahead you lost all transmission. On the road you have a lot of squelch problems. WOuld not recomend. Would buy either a Midlands or Motorla hand held. Get updates on storms and emergencies with built-in NOAA Weather radio. It lets you talk from your truck, car, home, business, or boat to other people who have a CB radio. Technically, a CB radio is a transceiver. It functions both as a radio transmitter (when sending messages) and a receiver (when receiving messages). Citizens Band radio was created by the FCC in 1958. There are as total of 40 channels on the CB band. Channel 19 is unofficially regarded as a general-purpose channel to make contacts and listen to conversations and reports of traffic and road conditions. Channel 9 is reserved for emergency communications. The FCC used to issue licenses for CBs, but they discontinued that requirement many years ago. Select which categories you are interested in. It was replaced by theThe Cobra HH-ROADTRIP CB radio is identical to the Cobra HH-38-WX-ST, except that it includes a magnetic vehicle antenna. This magnetic vehicle antenna improves the range of the radio and is the perfect addition if you are taking the radio in a vehicle, or if you switch vehicles often. A handheld CB combines the functionality of a CB radio with the portability of a two way radio.

The display on the radio will let you know how many Watts you are putting out. This radio outputs 4 Watts max which is standard for all legal CB radios. This is a smaller and easier to use alternative to a mounted CB radio system. Don't think that your radio doesn't work just because you don't hear anything on the CB radio because sometimes, not a lot of people are using the radio, so there is nothing to here anyway. Also make sure your squelch is not too hight. The NOAA weather works well with both antennas. Also if you have extra cord for the external antenna, do not loop it in a circle. Loop it in a figure-eight. Looping excess chord in a circle can mess with the signal coming in. I generally will have them last for a couple of months before needing to recharge them. However most of the time I can just use the radio plugged in anyway. The magnetic antenna fits very securely to metal roof of the vehicle so even if your roof is slightly curved you won't have to worry about the antenna getting blown off at highway speeds. I do wish the cord coming from the antenna was a couple feet longer though. The radio is built well and the plastic feels relatively strong. Buttons are easy to feel and easy to push and there is a backlight button so you can see your screen at night. All and all I'm very happy with this radio. It was exactly what I wanted and is a great money and time saving alternative to mounting a CB radio and antenna, and then wiring them all together, and then buying a antenna tuner too tune the antenna, assuming you know how to do that, and, well, you get the point. By the way this is VERY IMPORTANT; do NOT ever start your vehicle with the radio plugged in and turned on. The sudden drop in voltage can damage the radio. I almost broke mine doing that. To fix it, I unplugged the radio, took out the batteries, and let it sit there in the turned on position for about 30 seconds. (a standard procedure used when repairing computers).

And the radio will output at 4 Watts whenever it's plugged in but it's not as powerful when it's running on battery power (sometimes). It depends on what kind of batteries you are using and how much of a charge you have left in them.

I also did a field strength test on that short cobra antenna hooked up to that radio, the field strength on channel 40 is 3 times the field strength on channel 1. I tried my homemade 3 inch tunable CB antenna that is tuned on channel 19, and my 3 inch homemade CB antenna radiates better than that cobra antenna that came with that radio. I believe that loading coil in that cobra antenna has insufficient turns that would cause the antenna to be tuned above channel 40 frequency, and you could burn up that radio with that out of tuned Cobra antenna on an antenna impedance mismatch in the red level SWR above 3. So you would be better off finding another CB antenna that is truly tuned on the CB frequencies at least 1 foot of longer in length that would work with that Cobra CB handheld unit.No problems. radio is clear. I don't like th 9 AA battery set up because no one sells 9 MIMH in a pack, you have to get one more pack and have 3 left off, but other than that, this is a fine radio I'm getting about a mile and a half i believe on the antenna, judging relatively from where the talk areas are coming from So it's not bad at all. Sure, you can use longer antennas or a different brand, but the one this came with works. Weather bands also work here in KY. Keep in mind this is no different than a regular desk CB, the only difference is this is able to be wireless. You can get an adapter and hook up this same CB to a home CB antenna if you want, and it will work just as well as a regular CB, as all CBs are FCC regulated to 4 watts. Luckily I was able to get the radio working again. Now if you want your radio to transmit further, you can buy a long, tunable antenna and tune it to your radio. The how to videos talking about that are on YouTube if your interested. So in summary, get yourself a CB radio and open up a whole new world on the highways, or you can just use it to talk to your spotter when off-roading, either one.A BIG problem. And that is, every time I press the PTT button (which is what you use to talk to someone on the other side), the CB resets itself. EVERY TIME. And this isn't with the batteries.oh ho ho no. This is it with the Radio PLUGGED IN at FULL POWER. I attached a video to this review to show you all how the radio resets every time I press the PTT button. With it being plugged into the included DC plug. The weather radio feature works fine; one of the five channels comes in clear. The CB radio will not pick up a channel even using the rooftop antenna. Once at a truck stop, I faintly heard some folks talking. I know some reading this will say user error, but my husband is a former Army communications guy and knows what he is doing. I would skip this model and look to something else. However on road trips and doing over-landing this radio is nearly useless. If you go more than 2-3 vehicle lengths you lose signal, and thats with using either antenna. Granted I do get the weather channels, but I would recommend staying away from this product.I did not want to mount a CB in my truck so I got this and it fits in my center console when im not using it. However the mag antenna it came with is garbage hence why I got the Little Wil. The Power Save mode is 1 watt and works great when using a linear. Weather channels are nice to have and sound great. Being that its a handheld I bring it inside when the weather is bad to use as a dedicated weather radio.

0 out of 5 stars I was able to transmit and receive greater distances than I expected (over a mile) and the sound quality is okay. After 3 months, however, the buttons on the side of the unit for changing channels no longer work at all. I am very disappointed with Cobra customer service as I was told I am basically SOL since the limited warranty is rather limited. In sum, I am now debating between getting another HHROADTRIP like this radio and hoping the buttons remain functions or trying a Midland radio. Please try again later. Please try again later. If considering this for roadside emergency tool, consider a mobile HAM Baofeng capable of broadcasting on the widely listened NOAA Weather freq even Police and Fire dispatch since your distress call has a better chance of being heard. TBone22 4.0 out of 5 stars I picked up truckers far enough ahead, 3-5 miles that I could hear talking when cops were moving. It saved me many times. The weather bands pickup very well on this radio. I later bought a replacement radio from Radio Shack that completely sucked. The weather bands would bearly ever pickup so I was missing this radio. I more recently, 2012, put a full size CB in my SUV and there is hardly any air traffic. The problem about using a CB radio these days for driving alerts is that truckers all now use cell phones and rarely ever speak on the CB, it is as quiet out there as it has ever been. So unless you are using this for communicating on a trip with another vehicle in a group, then it is pretty much useless. CB's, as far as my opinion, are history. Please try again later.
